November 24: Teacher Seminar- Earth Awareness and Introduction to Permaculture for Schools
The Goats’ Garden, Skoppum, Vestfold (Norway)
This introductory seminar focuses on the need to build and nurture deep ecological appreciation, and introduces regenerative design for schools through the medium of permaculture principles. An essential first course for understanding how to prepare and develop schools, and ourselves, to face and solve the climate crisis.
Structure:
09.00 Introductions; The Ecological Imperative in Schools
09:45: Interactive Session: Building Ecological Appreciation
10:15 break and deep time experiences- Earth History and Ecological Interactions, or Sensory Interactions with Earth Elements.
12.30 Lunch
13.15 Sessions for development and use in classes: body and physical education, senses, feeling, and art, observation and interaction, language and poetry.
15.15 Break
15:30 Introduction to Permaculture and Permaculture Principles in Planning and Teaching
17.00 End of Workshop
Price:
